5145 = SOHOHunter #5872

Robert's C2 comet (5143) doesn't follow the Meyer track very well... I think it might be non-group. I will check on that to be sure though. Also I could not confirm Jiangao's reported fragment of 5146.

The transits for 2025 are now posted. Big thanks as always to Worachate for making that list for us! You'll see that we expect C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) to appear in C3 on January 11. We really don't know what to expect with this one. My guess is that it has fragmented and will not survive, and will not attain the very bright magnitude estimates that some have made. But I hope I am wrong! We will be running some special observations in C3 for its passage, so the data rate will be a little different to usual.

As always, please email me with questions, comments, complaints, concerns, etc.
