Just a quick note that we expect SOHO-2378 to cross C3 and C2 over the next few days. It will not be very bright, but should be visible. We are running some longer-exposure C3 and C2 images in anticipation. It will possibly appear in C3 around the beginning of Aug 29, moving mostly right to left (west to east) diagonally downward (southward), passing ~1 degree below and to the right (southwest) of the Sun at the closest point (Aug 31 ~0 UT). So the C2 transit wil be ~ Aug 30 19UT through Aug 31 06 UT.

So if/when you see it, please report it as "Known comet...".
