Worachate has helped me clear up the confusion regarding SOHO-2856. 
I forgot that he had emailed me a report for that comet - and he also 
sent a report for #2855. His report for #2856 was within a few minutes
of Szymon's SOHOHunter report, so in those cases I do joint-credit (I
believe Worachate's email was a few mins before Szymon posted). I have
left the "Post time" unchanged above, as it points to the first report
on the Sungrazer site. (Just for reference, it was message #4528 on
SOHOHUnter.)

I belatedly realized that #2867 and 2868 are chronologically 
backwards. I could re-number them but I really don't think it makes a
huge difference in this situation.

Hi All,

I meant to tell you all this a couple of days ago but the SOHO spacecraft DSN
contact schedule has been a little different over the past couple of days in
support of the pending DISCVR launch. From what I recall, much of the data
recorded by SOHO will be stored on-board and downlinked when we get a 
good contact again. There might be some data gaps though, as SOHO doesn't
have much storage.

Just an update: If DISCOVR launches today then SOHO will experience limited
DSN contacts through Friday. LASCO is being recorded, so I don't think we
will lose any data - we will just have to wait a little longer than usual for 
downlink. 

If DISCOVR does NOT launch today, SOHO's contact schedule will obviously
not be impacted.

Congratulations to Worachate for that nice non-group find! It
looks to be handling its near-Sun encounter pretty comfortably so
I'm going to guess that it's actually located between SOHO and the
Sun, and that it's actually relatively distant from the Sun. It is
moving very fast, so that would support such a trajectory.

Hi All,

So this was rather a surprise! I fully expected 2875 to fizzle away before
reaching C2. But clearly not! It has turned into a very nice comet indeed! Now I
am starting to wonder if this thing might hold potential to be ground visible in a
couple of weeks. I'll monitor it and if it continues to look healthy over the next
day or two then I'll do some measurements on Monday.

In other news... SOHO-2875 aka C/2015 D1 (SOHO) was *likely* recovered from
the ground by Justin Cowart. However, his images appear to show just a dusty
streak where the comet should be. This is consistent with a comet that dissipated
just after perihelion.

Also, Rob Matson has found a new comet in SOHO/SWAN images. Still waiting
on the orbit for that one.
