Tony -- thanks for all your help up to now with keeping a list
for me. It's been a great help! And thanks to everyone else for
your cooperation! I think I can now do 'real-time' confirmations.
Please try and keep the site 'junk' free -- you've been pretty
good recently so keep it up! And I appreciate you retracting
'unconfirmed' claims when you are doubtful of their authenticity.
I think it's worth noting that your 'confirmations' over the past
few months have been 100% correct -- good job!!

Email (to me or sungrazer) with any questions, etc

The angular velocity is somewhat hot for a Kreutz comet, and the
slope is a bit off. I see that the coordinates of my first two points
are very close to those of Mike Boschat's C3 claim, but I only
see noise at his earlier two points and these are on a different
track than my candidate.

I can confirm XingMing's Kreutz comet--it should be interesting to watch the two comets develop.

There appears to be a very small faint component ahead of the bright leading member of the 2 comets reported, getting a bit brighter as they get closer to the Sun.

Follow-up to my posting on 2/25/04, regarding the tiny possible

comet preceeding the leading bright comet. I have some more
positions for the images that were not available at the time of
my claim.

C3, 1024x1024, (0,0) upper left. Occulting arm in upper right.

20040225_1542_c3 - 327,632
20040225_1518_c3 - 321,636
20040225_1442_c3 - 314,643
20040225_1418_c3 - 307,645

Additionally, the object is very tiny (1 pixel in size) in
most of the images, and the 16:42 image (where it was brightest shows what may be either a small tail or a distintegration event.

The spacing of the object from the first comet is consistent in
the images.
